We hold regular social

evenings throughout the year

We are a very friendly and active mixed club with over 100 members of all ages and experience and are always happy to welcome new members - especially younger people and novices.

If you’ve never played before, our qualified coaches hold regular sessions  for both novice and experienced players.

So if you’re looking for a hobby that will extend your social life, to meet and make new friends, come along anytime and see for yourself, we have several sets of club bowls you can practice with.

Our clubhouse is fully fitted with ladies and gents changing rooms, lockers, social area and fully stocked bar and kitchen. There is a car park for members and their guests.

Throughout the summer season from April to September our calendar is full every day of the week.

We participate in various leagues, club competitions, friendly matches, county games, national games, fun days  and everything in between both daytime and evening.

If competitions aren’t for you, we have friendly club roll ups on Tuesdays and Thursdays where you can just come along for a couple of hours and have a relaxing game of bowls, meet people over a cup of tea and enjoy yourself. The only thing you need to bring is a pair of flat soled shoes or trainers.

Friday night is social night where you can come down to the clubhouse for a chat, relax or just practice a little with some friends. In the winter we hold indoor skittles matches which are always good fun.

Two videos for your enjoyment. The first explains what lawn and crown green bowls is really all about; the second explains where the future of Stevenage Town Bowls Club lies — in the youth of today…………..
